On 6th of October 2018, M – Power at Govandi East, Deonar successfully completed 1 year. M-Power, the library cum Study centre set up as a collaboration effort of DBM & TISS was envisioned to provide peaceful and motivating study environment with access to an innumerable number of books, learning materials along with access to virtual resources. The students in M-Power are guided by industry experts and get to attend Seminars & Workshops. Jagdish Sahu is amongst the first successful students from M-Power. He passed his Cost Accounting Exam and was felicitated during the event<\/span><\/p>\n

On an average, every day more than 70 students study at M-Power Library. Many of these students are appearing for Board Exams, while many others are preparing for UPSC, MPSC \/ CA, Engineering and several other competitive exams.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

For 1 year celebration, Deputy Municipal Commissioner, Shri Bharat Marathe and Zonal Officer, Shri Kiran\u00a0Dighavkar\u00a0presided.\u00a0<\/span>Both Mr Marathe & Mr\u00a0Dighavkar were astounded by the dedication of the students as they interacted one to one basis with students. Most students have been studying in the library for 8-12 months and access the library every day for more than 10 hours.<\/span><\/p>\n

The students presented an interesting skit,\u201dHamare M-Power me Ek Din\u201d on the event. They depicted the life of the students, their family life and why they need to visit M-Power to study. All of those who were present were really touched by their real-life stories. The Supporters and students who volunteer were recognised, Community Members were felicitated and their contribution to handholding the project were wholeheartedly appreciated. The event was hosted jointly by Tiss and \u00a0Dharma Bharathi Mission.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
