COVID-19 Food Distribution Drive
In a bid to help daily wage workers who are and will continue to be affected as businesses are temporarily shutting doors, we’re working to help their families stock up for food for the next 15 days.
They will be provided with a complete grocery bag of rice, atta, oil, multiple types of dals and pulses, poha, rawa tea, sugar and spices. The cost per 5 families is Rs 5000 and per one family is Rs 1,000. You can choose any number of families.
What began as a tiny idea to raise funds for 150 to 200 daily wage earner families through close friends and well-wishers snowballed in a few hours and there was a full blown project in front of us.
Many strangers as Volunteers joined this journey, many kirana shopkeepers too acted as Volunteers and DBM moved from Govandi to Trombay, Cheetacamp, Rafiq Nagar, Ghatkopar, Vikroli, Malad, Dahisar, Vithalwadi,, Jogeshwari, Kandivli, Bandra, Dadar, Parel, Aarey Colony, Sanjay Gandhi National Park, Nalasopara, Walkeshwer, Malabar hill, Napean Sea Road, Byculla, Masjid Bunder, Tardeo, Nanachowk and colaba.
With the support of our donors, we have crossed 3500 families and hope to reach out to maximum homes.
