Once again an academic year ends and the kids from schools around the country go into their summer vacations. But thats not the story of the students from underprivileged backgrounds studying in the various schools that we have supported under the Educational Initiative program.

Their work started right after that – to ensure that they can afford to study further. Some of them can. But for the rest of them DBM acts as a caregiver. We make sure that the meritorious students get a chance to continue their studies onward and forward.

With the help of the scholarships they would now go into their standard 11th and college studies with increased confidence and with hopes of creating a future for themselves and their family.

Each year we accept applications for this program and we invite candidates for a face to face interview. After the interview and a background check of the students the decisions are taken by the management.

This year we received close to 40 applications and scholarships worth more than 3 Lakh INR have already been disbursed with the help of our donors and supporters.
Out of this about 8 students would be pursuing their bachelors and 6 students would be using the scholarship to finish high school.
