With the kind and generous support of Khalsa Aid, the next phase of Ration Kits distribution has been done to 1000 more families all over the slums of Mumbai. With this Khalsa Aid has supported some 3000 families in this year so far.

Though the economy is slowly limping back, the poor are suffering as they have lost all their savings and the earnings are still not there. Even the teachers of the schools supported by us have not got any pay for the last almost 2 years and they too are requesting for ration kits. They in any case get meagre salaries of Rs. 2000-3000 pm in the slum schools. So this time we included some of them also, apart from supporting the daily wagers, artisans, carpenters, electricians, pavement dwellers, auto drivers etc.
